The UK's First Free Switchboard service takes off!

company, Liquid11 late last year launched its SwitchboardFREE service, aimed at
small business who could not afford an expensive PBX, SwitchboardFREE offers a
no cost alternative. Who would have
thought that this innovative product would have caught the imagination of so
many users so quickly.
Since the official launch of the SwitchboardFREE
service in late December 2005 it has so far attracted over 1500 users making it
the fastest growing free switchboard service in the UK. The take off of this product
has come of no surprise considering the advanced features it offers companies
at no cost and its rapid growth that has come from distribution partners and
word of mouth from user to user.

promotional material, web page or even mails and then using the system to gain
statistics on the amount of calls and minutes generated from each number,
enabling them to pinpoint where their marketing budget has been best spent!
What a clever idea! Others use the service to purely collect voicemails and
send them to an email address to store them meaning they don’t need to delete
old messages to make way for new ones. Some users are distributing the recorded
messages for transcription into their contact database. We have even had some
businesses use it to help build up a record of their busiest times of day in
order for them to arrange staffing levels to cover the phones! We never thought
that so many people could benefit from this service in so many different ways,
we are overwhelmed with the success and popularity of the service, it has truly
exceeded our expectations and the customer feedback has been very
complementary.”
An appealing factor with the service is that it is
a free, meaning that small businesses and start ups can begin to take advantage
of these features straight away without any capital outlay or financial risk.
Its features are designed to aid new businesses in more ways than one, not just
as a switchboard tool but as a marketing tool, a customer services tool and a
staff management tool.
