April 2004

Open Mind Media is formed as a sole proprietorship run by Phil Williams. The initial site provided web design and development services to SME and SOHO clients around the North-East and further afield. At the same time the hosting division was launched offering cost effective and reliable Windows and ColdFusion web hosting solutions.

September 2004

The domain name services division, Open Mind Domains was added to the company site portfolio offering low cost domain name transfer and registration facilities.

April 2005

The original company, Open Mind Media is incorporated to form Open Minded Solutions Limited. This followed a very successful first years trading which saw turnover reach just short of £25,000 with a gross profit margin of around 40%.

May 2005

Open Minded Solutions acquires HelmStore.com, an existing web based business serving the needs of web hosting companies by providing software licenses at heavily discounted prices. In addition, the company became one of only two authorised distributors of the HELM web hosting control panel.

June 2005

Open Mind Servers is launched offering Windows 2003 dedicated servers with an unprecedented level of bandwidth in a saturated UK market not renowned for its generosity in the bandwidth resource! The site aims to build on the success of the shared/reseller hosting service already offered by providing a cost effective entry route for companies wishing to enter the dedicated server market.
